The AKF is a tremendous resource for both patients awaiting transplant, and those who have already received one. Since its start in 1975, the AKF has been committed to improving the quality of life for kidney patients through financial assistance, education and support services. The AKF currently is the only state-based organization of its kind serving kidney patients through these programs and services.
