Polycystic Kidney Disease, PKD, runs in my family. Thankfully I am the last living member of my family to have it. Yes, even though I had a successful transplant 10 years ago I still have PKD. There is no cure for PKD, only treatments...ie. dialysis or transplant. So I participate in the Alabama Kidney Foundation Walk every year to honor my kidney donor, my niece Liz, and to support my fellow kidney patients. I hope you will help me in this effort.
