Join The Rollin' Kidney Stones in our fundraising efforts for the Alabama Kidney Foundation's Kidney Walk! The Alabama Kidney Foundation is the ONLY state-based organization dedicated to assisting kidney patients through financial assistance, education and support services. The annual Kidney Walks make it possible for the Foundation to provide assistance to patients in need. We are so excited to bring a team together for the 2024 Wiregrass Kidney Walk! Read below to hear more about Alexa's story and how you can contribute to the Alabama Kidney Foundation!

A little bit about Alexa for those who do not know. She was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 2015. She is currently in End Stage Renal Failure and has just recently started Peritoneal Dialysis while she awaits a new kidney! As a 23 year old, she had to mature at a very young age and learn to make her health her number one priority. IgA Nephropathy is one of the most common Kidney Diseases that people are diagnosed with. Throughout the past nine years, she has had several different treatment plans to minimize my symptoms, biopsies to determine the next steps and has learned a wealth of knowledge about her health that she never thought she could understand. She is eager to attend this years Wiregrass Kidney Walk and help raise awareness for those who are working through their own kidney troubles.

If you feel lead to donate, you are able to donate through her personal fundraising page. We have set a goal of raising $3,000 to support others with assistance through the Alabama Kidney Foundation.
